We are currently on the lookout for a System Administrator to be a part of our technical team in Sri Lanka. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain VMWare virtualization infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Manage CEPH storage clusters, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Administer SAN storage systems, monitoring capacity, performance, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable IT solutions.
- Provide technical support to end-users, promptly addressing and resolving issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard the integrity of data and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and patch management.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Skills
- Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in VMWare, CEPH storage, and SAN storage systems.
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, VMWare vSphere, and related technologies.
- Technical understanding of CEPH storage clusters, including RADOS, RGW, and RBD.
- Proficiency in managing SAN storage systems from vendors such as NetApp.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and task efficiency.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
